Packaging Manager

About the role

The Packaging Manager will lead and manage the Packaging Department, overseeing people, plant, process and systems to ensure product quality and efficient output.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain a safe, healthy, and risk‑free working environment, complying with safety, health and environmental legislation.
• Develop employees, manage talent pipelines, and implement performance management processes.
• Monitor and manage production processes within budgets, optimise production plans and shifts, and ensure compliance with specifications and standards.
• Lead packaging projects, coordinate logistics, support engineering integrity, and drive VPO implementation.
• Ensure maintenance integrity, optimise process capability, and manage asset‑management indicators.

Required profile

• Education: BSc or Engineer degree.
• Experience: 2‑3 years as Unit Manager or Packaging Engineer (or similar role).
• Training: Minimum 3‑6 months on‑the‑job training; ideal 6‑9 months.
