About the role
We are seeking a highly skilled Paediatrician/Neonatologist to join our multidisciplinary team at cfb Medical Centre. The successful candidate will deliver evidence‑based care for infants, children and adolescents across inpatient, outpatient, emergency and delivery‑room settings.
Key responsibilities
- Provide specialist paediatric and neonatal care to in‑patients and out‑patients.
- Conduct daily ward rounds in the Neonatal Unit and review paediatric in‑patients as needed.
- Run paediatric clinics and participate in an on‑call rota for emergency cases.
- Attend caesarean deliveries with risk of prematurity, perform neonatal resuscitation and stabilisation.
- Diagnose, manage and treat acute, chronic and developmental conditions in children and neonates.
- Maintain accurate patient records, communicate treatment plans to families and promote child health education.
Required profile
- Fully qualified medical doctor with recognised specialisation in Paediatrics and Neonatology.
- Minimum five (5) years’ experience as a specialist Paediatrician/Neonatologist, preferably in a tertiary or reputable hospital.
- Registered and licensed with the Health Professions Council of Zambia (HPCZ).
- Strong clinical judgement, ability to manage emergencies under pressure and high professional integrity.
