Poultry Supervisor – Layers/Hyliners Section

About the role

Mulotwa Poultry Farms Limited is seeking a dedicated Poultry Supervisor to oversee the layers and hyliners section at its Lusaka farm. The role involves managing daily flock operations, ensuring high egg production and maintaining bird health in a modern, biosecure environment.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise daily feeding, watering and general care of the layer and hyliner flocks.
• Monitor egg output, quality and feed conversion ratios to meet production targets.
• Implement vaccination schedules, biosecurity measures and disease‑prevention protocols.
• Lead, train and motivate farm workers to uphold productivity and animal welfare standards.
• Maintain accurate records of production, health status and inventory.

Required profile

• Diploma or certificate in Animal Science, Agriculture or a related field, plus a Grade 12 (or equivalent) qualification.
• At least three years of experience in commercial poultry, preferably managing layer operations.
• Strong knowledge of biosecurity practices and poultry health management.
• Proven leadership, communication and organisational abilities.
