Procurement and Logistics Specialist (Temporary)

About the role

The Procurement and Logistics Specialist will support project activities by managing the end‑to‑end procurement process for goods and services both domestically and internationally. Working under the direction of the Procurement Manager, you will ensure timely delivery, accurate documentation, and compliance with internal and external policies.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with customs clearance, tax waivers and other regulatory requirements.
• Maintain and update the procurement tracker for all active purchases.
• Manage the procurement email inbox, collate RFP/RFQ submissions and ensure files are audit‑ready.
• Collect and verify product specifications or scopes of work.
• Obtain required approvals from the home‑office procurement department.
• Enter procurement transactions into QuickBooks and iProcure.
• Monitor contracts, verify deliveries against orders and flag inconsistencies before vendor payment.
• Document all vendor correspondence and keep comprehensive procurement records.

Required profile

• Strong attention to detail and ability to work with multiple stakeholders.
• Familiarity with procurement procedures and documentation standards.
• Ability to follow US Government and Abt Global procurement policies.
