Procurement Officer – Kapiri Operations

About the role

The Mid‑Senior Procurement Officer will lead procurement and inventory coordination for the Kapiri operation, ensuring the timely availability of fleet spares, workshop consumables, fuel, and other operational materials across Zambia and regional routes. This role is pivotal in maintaining fleet uptime and supporting transport operations in a high‑pressure environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily procurement activities in line with approved procedures and governance controls.
• Source and coordinate purchase of trucks, trailers, workshop items, tyres, fuel, and other operational support items through approved suppliers.
• Enforce the “No PO No Purchase” principle, maintaining complete documentation and audit trails.
• Monitor stock levels, plan replenishments, and ensure critical spares remain available.
• Coordinate emergency procurement and breakdown support while controlling costs.
• Process Goods Receipts, Purchase Orders, supplier invoices, and align SAP with operational systems.
• Support alignment between SAP and Fleet Maintenance Pro (FMP) for accurate inventory visibility.

Required profile

• Strong operational understanding of transport and fleet maintenance environments.
• Technical procurement capability with experience in high‑volume, time‑critical purchasing.
• Ability to work under pressure and collaborate with workshop, operations, and stores teams.
• Attention to detail and commitment to compliance with procurement governance.
