Procurement Officer – MRO Sourcing Specialist

About the role

Twyford International (Zambia) is looking for a proactive Procurement Officer specializing in Maintenance, Repair, and Operations (MRO) sourcing. The role supports the procurement team by ensuring timely, cost‑effective acquisition of spare parts essential for uninterrupted operations.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure timely delivery of all procured materials and services in line with operational requirements.
• Monitor and follow up on quality issues with suppliers, driving corrective actions.
• Develop, assess, and manage supplier resources based on cost, quality, delivery performance, and reliability.
• Coordinate closely with internal departments (maintenance, operations, finance) to align procurement activities with business needs.
• Track purchase orders and proactively resolve delays, shortages, or discrepancies.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives within the procurement function, especially in MRO sourcing and supplier performance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in procurement, preferably in MRO (spare parts) sourcing.
• Strong communication and coordination skills with the ability to work across teams and with external suppliers.
• High level of responsibility, accountability, and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure to meet deadlines.
