Production Manager – Copper SX‑EW Operations

About the role

Rotehügels is seeking a hands‑on Production Manager to lead the Copper SX‑EW (Solvent Extraction & Electrowinning) plant in Kitwe, Zambia. The role focuses on delivering safe, efficient, and high‑quality copper production while driving continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee day‑to‑day operations of the copper SX‑EW plant.
• Lead process optimization and troubleshooting initiatives to maximize recovery and minimize downtime.
• Manage plant commissioning, start‑up activities, and ramp‑up to full production.
• Direct production planning, scheduling, and output monitoring.
• Coordinate with engineering, maintenance, and supply‑chain teams to ensure seamless operations.

Required profile

• Proven experience in copper SX‑EW plant operations.
• Strong background in hydrometallurgical process control.
• Demonstrated ability to lead teams in a high‑pressure industrial environment.
• Track record of successful plant commissioning and start‑up.
