Remote Accountant – US GAAP/UK GAAP Expertise

About the role

We are looking for a detail‑oriented Accountant to join our remote team full‑time. You will be responsible for daily accounting operations, financial reporting, and tax compliance, supporting our growth with accurate and timely financial data.

Key responsibilities

• Record daily financial transactions, including expenses, revenue, and invoices in the general ledger.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with US GAAP or UK GAAP/IFRS.
• Perform bank reconciliations, monitor accounts payable/receivable, and ensure tax compliance.
• Compute tax payments, prepare tax returns, and process payroll according to local regulations.
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and expense monitoring to identify cost‑saving opportunities.
• Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation and explanations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 3‑5 years of proven experience as an Accountant or in a similar role.
• Strong understanding of US GAAP or UK Accounting Principles (IFRS/UK GAAP).
• Professional certification preferred: CPA (US) or ACCA/ACA/CIMA (UK).
• Excellent analytical abilities, high attention to detail, and ability to meet tight deadlines.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, or SAP.
