Remote Sensing Integration Technician (Electrical/Electronics/Mechanical/Civil)

About the role

We are seeking highly skilled and versatile technicians specialized in electrical, electronics, mechanical and civil disciplines to work on remote sensing integration projects. The role involves assembling, integrating, testing, maintaining and deploying remote sensing systems on UAVs, ground vehicles and fixed installations.

Key responsibilities

• Perform precision assembly, wiring and soldering of electrical and electronic components for remote sensing payloads.
• Integrate sensors such as LiDAR, RGB cameras, thermal cameras, hyperspectral sensors and radar with data acquisition units, GPS/GNSS and IMUs.
• Carry out mechanical fabrication, mounting and structural integration of sensors onto platforms, ensuring proper alignment and stability.
• Execute testing and calibration procedures to verify system accuracy and performance.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot and repair electrical, electronic and mechanical issues in equipment and platforms.
• Produce and maintain technical documentation, including wiring diagrams, assembly instructions and test reports.
• Support field deployment, setup and operation of remote sensing systems, including site preparation for ground installations.
• Collaborate with engineers to optimise designs, improve integration processes and resolve technical challenges.
• Follow safety protocols, quality standards and perform routine maintenance on equipment.
• Assist with firmware updates and software configuration for integrated sensor systems.
