Retailer Relationship Manager – Seed & Crop Protection

About the role

Bayer is looking for a Retailer Relationship Manager to strengthen partnerships with key retailers and drive the availability of Bayer seed and crop protection products for smallholder farmers. You will work closely with the customer‑facing squad to achieve regional sales targets and support dealer sell‑out.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver the regional mission together with the customer‑facing squad and jointly manage the regional P&L.
• Identify and build relationships with strategic retailers, ensuring order generation at the retail level.
• Co‑develop and execute annual regional sales and marketing plans.
• Link retailer activities to regional sales and marketing initiatives and monitor monthly sales performance.
• Conduct trainings at retail and point‑of‑sale locations.
• Analyse sales data, identify growth opportunities, and feed insights into regional strategy.
• Monitor competitor activities and market changes, providing feedback to supporting units.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Business or a related field.
• Minimum two years of experience in crop agronomy, seeds, pest‑control practices, or sales.
• Strong knowledge of the local agricultural market and smallholder farmer dynamics.
• Demonstrated Bayer core competencies: customer focus, results orientation, valuing differences, managing complexity, collaboration, and trust.
• Fluent in English and local languages.
• Highly motivated, creative, dynamic and well‑organized.
