Rotables Specialist - Heavy Mobile Equipment

About the role

The Rotables Specialist will join the versatile maintenance team at Lumwana Mining Company, overseeing the lifecycle of rotatable components used in Heavy Mobile Equipment (HME). Reporting to the Coordinator Rotables – HME, you will ensure component tracking, repair coordination, cost control, and inventory accuracy.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full lifecycle of HME rotatable components, including tracking, repair, refurbishment, replacement, and disposal.
• Monitor component movements across service, repair, warehouse, lay‑down, and operational areas.
• Analyse repair cost trends, compare quotations with historical values, and prepare monthly cost summaries.
• Coordinate repair and overhaul activities with OEMs and approved vendors, tracking turnaround times.
• Maintain accurate rotable inventory records in ERP/CMMS systems (e.g., SAP, Maximo, Pronto, Ellipse, Oracle).
• Collaborate with maintenance planners to forecast rotable needs for shutdowns and preventive maintenance.

Required profile

• Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Mechanical Engineering, Heavy Equipment Maintenance, Engineering Technology or a related field.
• 5–8 years of experience in rotable management, supply chain, commercial coordination, inventory control, or mining equipment maintenance.
• Strong experience reviewing repair quotations, cost analysis, and vendor coordination.
• Unrestricted Class B driver’s licence.

Required skills

• Proficiency with ERP/CMMS platforms such as SAP, Maximo, Pronto, Ellipse, or Oracle.
