Senior Energy Engineer

About the role

The Senior Energy Engineer will develop short‑ and long‑term demand forecasts for CEC’s power sales, purchases and wheeling, supporting business planning and compliance with PSA agreements. The role also analyses customer consumption trends and assists with accurate billing and customer liaison.

Key responsibilities

• Produce short‑ and long‑range demand forecasts for power sales, purchases and wheeling.
• Analyse customer system usage and power consumption data to inform management decisions.
• Maintain databases of customer consumption, supplier power, and wheeling patterns.
• Prepare and verify monthly customer invoices, ensuring timely delivery and follow‑up on payments.
• Provide data and studies to support power system network development and new business opportunities.
• Participate in marketing and customer liaison activities to promote CEC’s service offerings.
• Offer technical assistance on power system modelling and analysis to other departments.
• Adhere to HSE, risk management policies and uphold CEC’s values and professional standards.

Required profile

• Proven experience in demand forecasting for electricity markets.
• Strong analytical ability to interpret customer consumption and power data.
• Experience preparing accurate billing and invoicing for utility customers.
• Ability to collaborate with cross‑functional teams and support marketing initiatives.
