Senior Mechanic – Workshop Foreman

About the role

We are seeking a skilled Foreman to lead our workshop, ensuring that all farm equipment meets operational standards, is used safely, and receives proper maintenance.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise a team of artisans in the repair and maintenance of tractors, vehicles, and other farm machinery.
• Oversee workshop efficiency, ensuring employee time is effectively utilized.
• Place timely spare‑part requests and maintain service schedules to minimise downtime.
• Implement preventive maintenance programmes to reduce major repairs and operating costs.
• Prepare and submit annual OPEX and CAPEX budgets, and produce regular reports on equipment status.
• Maintain hygiene, safety standards, and vehicle in‑out registers within the department.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of hands‑on experience in agricultural machinery maintenance.
• Diploma in Agricultural Mechanics or an equivalent qualification.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Proven ability to drive process‑improvement initiatives.
• Willingness to work extended hours as needed.
