About the role

We are seeking a fluent Shona language specialist to help shape the next generation of AI models. As a freelance AI trainer, you will work remotely with cutting‑edge tools to improve the quality and cultural relevance of Shona language outputs.

Key responsibilities

• Review, annotate, and edit Shona text for training datasets.
• Evaluate AI‑generated Shona content for accuracy, fluency, and cultural appropriateness.
• Identify recurring error patterns and document findings.
• Collaborate with the engineering and linguistics teams to refine prompts, evaluation methods, and linguistic guidelines.

Required profile

• Native or near‑native fluency in Shona.
• Professional experience in translation, linguistics, language teaching, editing, or a related field.
• Demonstrated attention to detail and strong cultural knowledge.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.
