Specialist Commercial – Procurement & Contracts

About the role

The Specialist Commercial will develop and execute a whole‑business category strategy for the spend portfolio at Kansanshi, manage key relationships with operational sponsors and senior supply partners, and lead the end‑to‑end sourcing process to resolve complex supply challenges.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with stakeholders to create and apply a comprehensive category strategy for the spend portfolio.
• Conduct market research, spend analysis and risk modelling to identify supply market risks and mitigation actions.
• Lead tendering activities, negotiate contracts, draft supply agreements and drive supplier performance improvements.
• Implement supply‑chain and performance‑improvement initiatives, ensuring documentation control of work instructions and procedures.
• Promote health, safety, environment and quality compliance in line with Kansanshi policies.
• Drive automation and reporting using Power BI and an automated Service Request platform to track request durations and workload.

Required profile

• Proven experience in commercial procurement or contracts within a large industrial or mining environment.
• Strong stakeholder management and ability to influence senior executives and operational sponsors.
• Analytical mindset with experience in spend analysis, risk assessment and supply‑chain optimisation.
• Commitment to health, safety and regulatory compliance.
