Specialist, Fitness, Wellness & Gym

About the role

First Quantum is seeking a Specialist in Fitness, Wellness & Gym to support its employee health initiatives across the Solwezi and Kalumbila sites. The role involves coordinating fitness programs, managing gym operations, and creating personalized fitness plans for high‑risk staff while working closely with a multidisciplinary wellness team.

Key responsibilities

• Support planning and coordination of fitness and wellness programs aligned with organizational goals.
• Manage schedules, resources, and logistics for gym classes and wellness sessions across multiple sites.
• Oversee gym equipment inventory, maintenance, and facility safety.
• Create personalized fitness plans for high‑risk clients and assist with referrals.
• Collaborate with nutritionists, occupational health, physiotherapists, and other wellness professionals.
• Coordinate employee weight‑management programs, track progress and compile reports.
• Manage wellness incentive prize inventories and ensure fair distribution.
• Collect, analyze, and report data on program participation and effectiveness.
• Maintain accurate records to support compliance and audit requirements.

Required profile

• Grade 12 Certificate.
• Personal Training qualification (required).
• Degree in Sports Science.
• Experience supporting wellness program implementation or facility management in a health‑related field.
• Familiarity with fitness, wellness, or rehabilitation environments.
• Strong organizational, communication, and stakeholder management abilities.
