Specialist, Fixed Asset Management

About the role

The Specialist, Fixed Asset Management supports the effective management of fuel and lubricant operations, related infrastructure assets, and commercial projects across a mining site. Working closely with the Fuel Controller, the role ensures accurate inventory control, consumption reporting, quality assurance, maintenance planning and regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Reconcile fuel receipts, supplier documentation and invoices in the ERP system.
• Maintain accurate fuel and lubricant inventory records for all storage facilities.
• Track daily stock movements, issues, transfers and consumption by equipment, department, contractor and operating area.
• Analyse usage trends, identify anomalies and support forecasting of fuel requirements.
• Monitor fuel‑related costs, assist budgeting, forecasting and cost‑analysis activities.
• Coordinate fuel sampling, testing programmes and monitor filtration system maintenance.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, SI 55 calibration requirements and applicable legislation.
• Provide documentation for internal and external audits and supervise contractors in the fuel management area.
• Coordinate fuel‑related projects and service providers.

Required profile

• Experience in fuel and lubricant inventory management within an industrial or mining environment.
• Knowledge of ERP/CMMS systems, specifically Pronto.
• Understanding of regulatory compliance requirements such as SI 55.
• Ability to analyse consumption data and support budgeting processes.
