Specialist – Fuel & Asset Management

About the role

The Specialist, Fuel & Asset Management supports the effective management of fuel, lubricant operations and related infrastructure assets at the mine site. Working closely with the Fuel Controller, the role ensures accurate inventory control, consumption reporting, quality assurance and regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Reconcile fuel receipts in the ERP system against supplier delivery documents and invoices.
• Maintain accurate fuel and lubricant inventory records across all storage facilities.
• Monitor and reconcile daily stock movements, including receipts, issues and transfers between depots.
• Track fuel consumption by equipment, department, contractor and operating area.
• Analyse usage trends, identify anomalies and suggest improvements.
• Forecast fuel requirements in collaboration with mining operations teams.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and cost‑analysis activities for fuel‑related expenses.
• Coordinate fuel sampling, testing programmes and monitor filtration system maintenance.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, SI 55 calibration requirements and applicable legislation.
• Prepare documentation for internal and external audits and supervise contractors in the fuel management area.
• Coordinate fuel‑related projects and service providers.
