Storeperson – Warehouse Operations

About the role

The Storeperson is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, ensuring safe and efficient handling of stock, and providing support to end‑users in the warehouse environment.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in cycle counts and stock‑take processes, updating bin locations for new stock codes.
• Accurately bin GET (Ground Engagement Tools) and bulk items in the yard and maintain stock bin records.
• Prepare stock items for dispatch according to procedures, ensuring proper storage and handling.
• Control and secure inventory, including warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet stackers, and hand trucks.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment and adhere to health and safety regulations.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar warehouse or storekeeping role.
• Grade 12 certificate and a certificate in a Mechanical or Business course (CIPS may be pursued).
• High level of self‑motivation, integrity, and ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Good communication, organisational skills and ability to work under pressure.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Pronto inventory software.
• Operation of diesel and electric forklifts.
• Basic computer skills and understanding of warehousing and inventory management.
