Student Assistant – Biomedical Sciences Support

About the role

BIOMED CONNECT is seeking a motivated Student Assistant to join its on‑site team in Choma. You will help drive educational activities, outreach programs, and events that promote biomedical sciences and laboratory medicine.

Key responsibilities

• Organise and support educational workshops, seminars, and mentorship sessions.
• Maintain records, prepare communication materials, and assist with event logistics.
• Support social media channels and community engagement initiatives.
• Provide administrative assistance to the local team, including scheduling and documentation.
• Liaise with students, mentors, and partner organisations to ensure smooth programme delivery.

Required profile

• Strong interest in biomedical sciences, diagnostics, or laboratory medicine.
• Current enrolment in or recent graduation from a relevant study programme.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Good organisational and time‑management abilities.
• Professional, reliable, and collaborative attitude in an on‑site environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency with office software (word processing, spreadsheets, presentations).
• Familiarity with social media platforms for outreach.
