Superintendent, Earthworks

About the role
The Superintendent, Earthworks will lead the construction and upkeep of all in‑pit haul roads, ramps and perimeter roads, ensuring they meet design specifications. You will also oversee aggregate loading, safety berm construction, dust suppression and water control activities across the mine site.
Key responsibilities
- Supervise construction and maintenance of in‑pit haul roads, ramps and perimeter roads according to design.
- Manage loading and timely transportation of aggregate products to designated areas.
- Oversee projects such as safety berms, desilting, crusher bay clean‑ups, water control and pad construction for power line poles.
- Enforce health, safety and environmental policies on all earthworks activities.
- Plan and schedule road and waste‑dump maintenance to minimise production disruption.
- Ensure waste dumps are built and maintained safely and according to design.
Required profile
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in open‑pit operations.
- Grade 12 with at least five passes, or a degree in Civil or Mining Engineering.
- Valid EIZ membership and road‑building qualification (advantageous).
- Demonstrated leadership, planning and discipline enforcement abilities.
