Systems Developer Officer

About the role

The Systems Developer Officer will design, develop, test, deploy and maintain high‑quality software applications that meet both user and business needs. Working closely with cross‑functional teams, you will translate requirements into robust solutions and help continuously improve our systems and processes.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse user requirements and produce functional technical specifications.
• Design, develop, test and implement applications using languages such as Java, C#, Python, JavaScript and SQL.
• Maintain and enhance existing systems, identifying improvement opportunities and applying updates.
• Collaborate with developers, designers, analysts and project managers to deliver projects on time and within scope.
• Conduct code reviews, write unit tests and enforce coding standards.
• Troubleshoot, debug and resolve software issues promptly.
• Document designs, code and procedures for future maintenance.
• Participate in R&D to stay current with emerging technologies.
• Ensure applications meet security, scalability and performance criteria.
• Provide post‑deployment support and ongoing enhancements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of professional software development or application programming experience.
• Proven experience with development tools and frameworks.
• Familiarity with web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and version control (Git).
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and agile development methodologies.
