Transport Experts for Global Gateway Project

About the role

NTU International A/S is building a talent pool of experienced transport professionals to support the Global Gateway Transport and Urban Facility 2 project. The assignment will start in January 2027 and run for 48 months, offering experts the chance to work on high‑impact transport and mobility initiatives across Sub‑Saharan Africa, Latin America, the Caribbean, and Asia‑Pacific.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, prepare, appraise and implement transport and connectivity projects.
• Conduct prefeasibility and feasibility studies, technical assessments, and economic‑financial analyses.
• Support transport infrastructure planning, design, rehabilitation, modernization and investment planning.
• Assist public authorities in developing policies, regulatory frameworks and sector reform programmes.
• Prepare transport investment pipelines aligned with Global Gateway and European Green Deal priorities.
• Advise on sustainable, low‑carbon, smart, safe, resilient and inclusive transport solutions.
• Facilitate multimodal logistics connectivity and integration of different transport modes.
• Assess investment climates, identify PPP opportunities and support procurement, tendering and contract management.
• Promote European and international transport standards and best practices.
• Contribute to capacity‑building, training and knowledge creation activities.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in transport, infrastructure, mobility, logistics or related sectors.
• Demonstrated expertise in at least one of the listed technical areas (e.g., road/highway infrastructure, multimodal transport, PPPs, investment planning).
• Experience working with public authorities, international donors or development partners is preferred.
