Truck Driver (Class C/C1/CE License)

About the role

Goldenlay Agri Ltd, Zambia's leading producer and distributor of table eggs, is seeking qualified truck drivers to transport cargo safely and on schedule. The role involves operating cargo trucks, ensuring vehicle readiness, and handling delivery documentation.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect the vehicle before and after each trip and record any defects.
• Complete daily driver defect logs and submit vehicle condition reports.
• Assist with loading and unloading when required.
• Maintain and safeguard all truck paperwork, including obtaining customer signatures on proof of delivery.
• Comply with traffic laws and company driving regulations to ensure timely deliveries.
• Position the truck for loading/unloading and cooperate with the crew as needed.

Required profile

• Class C, C1/CE driver’s licence.
• Age between 25 and 30 years.
• Minimum three years of relevant driving experience.
• Clear, verifiable references and a Grade Nine certificate.
• Defensive driving skills, recent eye test results, police clearance and fingerprints.
• Honest with good verbal and written communication abilities.
