Tuck-Shop Assistant – Warehouse & Retail Support

About the role

The Tuck‑Shop Assistant supports CURE’s hospital operations by managing inventory and providing courteous retail service to staff, caregivers, and visitors. This full‑time, onsite position combines warehouse duties with front‑of‑house sales in a busy healthcare environment.

Key responsibilities

• Receive, verify, and record deliveries against purchase orders.
• Maintain accurate stock levels in the inventory management system.
• Organise, store, and retrieve items safely and systematically.
• Issue stock to hospital departments based on approved requisitions.
• Monitor expiry dates, rotate stock, and report low‑stock items.
• Keep the warehouse and tuck‑shop areas clean and orderly.
• Serve customers courteously, operate the cash register, and handle cash accurately.
• Replenish shelves, create attractive product displays, and support daily sales reconciliation.

Required profile

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in stock handling.
• Good numeracy skills for cash handling and inventory tracking.
• Customer‑service orientation with a friendly, professional attitude.
• Ability to follow procedures and maintain compliance.
• Physical stamina for lifting, carrying, and standing for extended periods.
• Teamwork, reliability, and a willingness to support colleagues.
