Business Development Manager – Zambia

About the role

Mamoru is expanding its financial technology services across Africa and seeks a Business Development Manager to lead market entry in Zambia. You will act as the local face of the company, establishing the entity, building key partnerships, and driving FX trading business growth.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in setting up the Zambian legal entity, opening bank, FX broker, exchange, and payment processor accounts.
• Collaborate with the global operations team to ensure smooth local operations.
• Develop and maintain relationships with banks, brokers, exchanges, merchants, and payment processors.
• Launch and grow FX trading services targeting high‑net‑worth, institutional, merchant, and individual clients.
• Monitor market trends, opportunities, risks, and new project ideas within the FX payments space.
• Serve as nominee director of the local entity and manage administrative tasks.

Required profile

• Prior experience in banking or FX with solid understanding of trading products and trade life cycles.
• Must be a Zambian national.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, relationship‑management, and organizational abilities.
• Flexible mindset to adapt to a fast‑changing market and new responsibilities.
• Detail‑oriented, capable of multitasking and handling projects independently.
• Fluent in written and spoken English.
