Electronics Electrician – Fire Safety Systems

About the role

We are looking for a full‑time Electronics Electrician to join our fire‑safety team in Lusaka. The role combines on‑site installation, inspection and maintenance of fire detection, alarm and suppression systems, with occasional hybrid work and travel to client sites.

Key responsibilities

• Install, wire and commission electronic fire detection and alarm equipment.
• Inspect, test and maintain fire suppression systems to ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Diagnose faults, troubleshoot and repair electrical and electronic components of fire‑protection systems.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance and document all work performed.
• Support project delivery by testing new installations and assisting with client training.
• Travel to client sites within Lusaka and surrounding areas for upgrades, emergency repairs and customer support.

Required profile

• Strong foundation in electricity and basic electrical engineering principles.
• Valid EIZ licence (mandatory) and, preferably, a driver’s licence.
• Proven experience installing and wiring electronic safety equipment.
• Technical certification or diploma in Electrical Engineering, Electronics or a related field.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics and equipment manuals.
• Attention to detail, safety awareness and adherence to regulatory standards.
