About the role
The Front Office Supervisor supports the Front Office Manager in delivering courteous, professional, and efficient service to hotel guests. This role ensures smooth daily operations of the front desk, maintains accurate guest records, and coordinates with other departments to uphold the hotel’s brand standards.
Key responsibilities
- Assist the Front Office Management Team in managing the department according to the hotel’s concept statement.
- Control room key distribution and ensure strict adherence to security procedures.
- Liaise with Housekeeping to guarantee cleaning schedules for VIP guests and arrivals are met.
- Coordinate repair and maintenance requests and report job orders.
- Monitor rate structures, promotional rates, and implement changes from consumer audit results.
- Ensure front office staff work collaboratively with other departments and maintain accurate guest data.
- Deliver the brand promise by supervising guest check‑in/check‑out processes and handling complaints promptly.
- Maintain guest history records, pre‑register repeat guests, and coordinate VIP movements.
- Support productivity through multi‑skilling, flexible scheduling, and cost‑effective resource management.
Required profile
- Proven experience in a front office or reception environment, preferably in a supervisory capacity.
- Strong customer‑service orientation with the ability to handle guest inquiries and complaints professionally.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with internal teams.
- Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate guest records.
- Capability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload in a fast‑paced hotel setting.
