Human Resources Business Partner

About the role

Alliance One Zambia Limited, a leading agricultural company, is seeking an experienced Human Resources Business Partner to lead the HR function and partner with business leaders in delivering strategic and operational HR solutions that support business objectives, employee engagement, talent development, compliance, and organisational effectiveness.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with business leaders to develop and implement HR strategies aligned with organisational objectives.
• Lead end‑to‑end recruitment, selection and onboarding for permanent, fixed‑term and seasonal staff.
• Coordinate talent reviews, succession planning and learning & development initiatives.
• Provide expert guidance on employee relations, performance management, disciplinary and grievance matters.
• Oversee compensation, benefits and payroll governance, ensuring accuracy and internal pay equity.
• Administer and maintain the Oracle HR Information System (HRIS) and ensure data integrity.
• Ensure compliance with employment legislation, company policies and health & safety standards.
• Prepare and monitor the HR budget and support headcount planning.

Required profile

• O/A Level or Grade 12 certification with credits in English and Mathematics.
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Social Sciences or related field.
• Proven experience as an HR professional delivering strategic HR solutions.
• Results‑oriented with strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.

Required skills

• Oracle HRIS (Human Resources Information System) proficiency.
