Monitoring and Evaluation Officer

About the role

The Monitoring and Evaluation Officer will support hospital‑level MELD implementation, ensuring data quality, performance monitoring and reporting in line with network standards. This role oversees indicator tracking, KPI development, patient‑reported outcomes and dashboard utilization to drive data‑informed decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Support collection and verification of patient data within EMR, Metabase and other reporting platforms.
• Conduct routine data quality audits and ensure departmental compliance with data collection standards.
• Develop and implement data quality improvement plans in collaboration with department heads.
• Oversee preparation, validation and cleaning of patient‑reported outcome datasets.
• Promote a culture of data‑informed decision‑making by helping departments interpret MELD data.
• Design, refine and implement hospital‑level M&E tools, dashboards and data quality systems aligned with network standards.
• Train and mentor staff on data quality procedures, dashboard usage and indicator tracking.
• Coordinate patient‑reported outcome tools and related processes.

Required profile

• Mid‑level professional with experience in monitoring and evaluation, preferably in a health setting.
• Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail.
• Proven ability to collaborate with department heads and cross‑functional teams.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
