Non-Executive Director

About the role

ExpressCredit Zambia, a leading micro‑finance institution, seeks an experienced Non‑Executive Director to join its Board. You will work closely with executive management, providing independent oversight, strategic guidance, and governance leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Contribute to the development and oversight of the company’s strategy.
• Provide independent expert guidance on governance, risk management, and regulatory compliance.
• Support sound decision‑making aligned with stakeholder interests and fiduciary duties.
• Ensure compliance with the Bank of Zambia and other applicable regulatory frameworks.

Required profile

• Accomplished senior leader with experience in regulated financial services (banking, micro‑finance, or FinTech).
• Demonstrated “Fit and Proper” ethical track record with no history of financial misconduct.
• Background as a shareholder representative or former executive with strong industry connections.
• Availability to attend quarterly Board and Committee meetings.
• Residency in Lusaka preferred.
