Occupational Health Safety Administrator

About the role

The Occupational Health Safety Administrator is responsible for protecting the health, safety and well‑being of all bank employees while ensuring compliance with statutory OHS obligations. The role develops and maintains the bank’s OHS framework, conducts risk assessments, and leads incident investigations.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, update and enforce the bank’s OHS and ESG management policies.
• Carry out risk assessments and documented inspections of all bank facilities.
• Investigate workplace accidents and near‑miss events, identify root causes and implement preventive actions.
• Inspect premises, capture OHS/ESG findings and coordinate corrective work with contractors.
• Conduct ESG and OHS audits across branch networks and ensure timely closure of findings.
• Manage procurement, maintenance and distribution of OHS‑related equipment and supplies.
• Supervise contractors, verify completion of agreed work and monitor service level agreements.
• Respond to OHS emergencies, provide effective solutions and maintain water and sanitation standards.

Required profile

• Relevant qualifications in occupational health, safety or a related field.
• Proven experience in OHS administration, risk management and incident investigation.
• Ability to work independently and coordinate with multiple internal and external stakeholders.
