Senior Storeman – Warehouse & Inventory Management

About the role

The Senior Storeman will oversee all warehouse activities for a leading drilling and mining services company operating in Zambia. You will ensure accurate receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods while maintaining a safe, organized environment.

Key responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, label, and store incoming materials.
• Manage issuing of goods in line with company procedures.
• Conduct regular stock checks, maintain accurate inventory records, and report shortages or over‑stock.
• Utilise the company’s ERP system to track stock movements.
• Pick, pack, and prepare orders for dispatch, coordinating with logistics for timely delivery.
• Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks safely.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant warehouse environment.
• Prepare regular reports on stock levels, discrepancies, and warehouse performance.
• Support the Warehouse Manager with hazard analyses and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• University degree preferred (not mandatory).
• Previous experience in drilling or mining environments is an advantage.
• Strong communication skills in English.
• Ability to work flexible hours to meet operational needs.

Required skills

• Intermediate to advanced Excel proficiency.
• Outlook/email competence.
• Experience with ERP systems such as Accpac, Dynamics 365, or similar.
• Forklift operation (and pallet‑jack handling).
