Finance Manager - Renewable Energy

About the role

The company is looking for an experienced Finance Manager to oversee the financial management of large‑scale renewable power projects in Zambia. The role is heavily involved during the construction phase, ensuring budgets, cash flows and lender requirements are accurately managed.

Key responsibilities

• Manage construction budgets and monitor project cost tracking.
• Prepare cash‑flow forecasts and process lender drawdowns in line with financing agreements.
• Ensure accurate reporting of project costs and financial performance.
• Collaborate closely with EPC contractors, lenders and internal project teams.
• Guarantee funding requirements are met and financial obligations are managed throughout the project lifecycle.

Required profile

• Minimum 7‑8 years experience as a financial manager.
• Exposure to the energy or infrastructure sector, project finance and public‑private partnerships.
• Strong understanding of detailed project documentation and major agreements such as PPAs, EPC contracts and financing agreements.
• Ability to travel internationally for short periods.
• Strong network within the Zambian energy sector is a plus.

Required skills

• Treasury experience preparing cash reports and drawdowns under facility documents.
• Detailed accounting and reporting knowledge, including financial accounting and tax.
