Data Engineer – Build Scalable Data Pipelines

About the role

First Quantum is seeking a Data Engineer to design, build and maintain reliable, scalable data pipelines that support reporting, analytics and operational decision‑making across its global operations. The role involves hands‑on development of ETL processes, data models and real‑time streams while collaborating closely with platform, analytics and business teams.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and operate end‑to‑end data pipelines for ingesting, transforming and delivering data.
• Implement scalable, secure and high‑performance batch and real‑time pipelines.
• Ensure seamless integration across IT, OT and analytics platforms.
• Maintain high availability, reliability and performance of data platforms.
• Translate business requirements into technical solutions and deliver data aligned with business needs.
• Stay current with industry trends and recommend innovative data solutions.

Required profile

• 4–7 years of experience in data engineering, distributed systems or data platform operations.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering or related field (Master’s preferred).
• Proven ability to build and maintain production data pipelines.
