Health and Nutrition Coordinator

About the role

The Health and Nutrition Coordinator will lead the design, implementation, and monitoring of high‑quality health and nutrition programmes in Zambia, ensuring they align with Action Against Hunger’s strategic objectives and donor requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver health and nutrition projects that meet country and sectoral strategies.
• Provide technical guidance and ensure compliance with Action Against Hunger and donor standards.
• Lead capacity‑building activities for health and nutrition staff.
• Conduct field visits, analyse the humanitarian health and nutrition context, and produce programme designs and proposals.
• Support fundraising, recruitment, and procurement as needed.
• Coordinate with logistics, HR, finance, and programme teams to ensure timely delivery.
• Represent the programme externally with government ministries, development partners, NGOs, and research institutions.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading health and nutrition programmes in humanitarian or development settings.
• Strong understanding of donor guidelines and best practices in health and nutrition.
• Excellent analytical, planning, and coordination skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and external stakeholders.
