Vegetable Promoter (Choma)

About the role

We are looking for an enthusiastic Vegetable Promoter to represent Syngenta Seeds in Choma, Zambia. The role involves building relationships with farmers, retailers and distributors to promote Syngenta vegetable seed varieties and drive trial adoption.

Key responsibilities

• Create on‑farm demonstrations to showcase the performance of Syngenta varieties.
• Deliver technical training and information to farmers in the assigned region.
• Organise and execute field days, product launches and stakeholder training events.
• Maintain regular contact with retailers, distributors and YPRs to monitor stock levels and increase product knowledge.
• Introduce new products to channel players through demos and technical sessions.
• Visit retailer and distributor outlets weekly to check inventory.
• Follow up on outstanding debts on behalf of distributors, without collecting funds.

Required profile

• Agricultural diploma or higher.
• Minimum one year of sales experience (preferred).
• Paid‑up member of the Zambia Institute of Agriculture and ZAQA‑certified qualifications.
• Valid motorbike licence and ability to drive a manual‑shift vehicle.
