Vegetable Promoter – Field Sales & Technical Support

About the role

Syngenta Seeds is looking for an enthusiastic Vegetable Promoter to act as the company’s field representative. You will build relationships with farmers, retailers and distributors to promote Syngenta vegetable seed varieties, drive product trials and ensure product availability across your region.

Key responsibilities

• Create on‑farm demonstrations that showcase the performance of Syngenta vegetable seeds.
• Deliver technical training and information to farmers, retailers and other channel players.
• Organise and execute field days, product launches and stakeholder training events.
• Maintain regular contact with distributors and retailers to monitor stock levels and plan replenishment.
• Follow up on retailer debts on behalf of distributors, ensuring timely payment.
• Introduce new seed products to the channel through demos and technical sessions.

Required profile

• Agricultural diploma or higher qualification.
• Minimum 1 year of sales or field promotion experience.
• Paid‑up member of the Zambia Institute of Agriculture with ZAQA‑certified qualifications.
• Valid motorbike licence and ability to drive a manual‑shift vehicle.

Required skills

• Demo creation on farm fields.
• Agronomy training and crop‑protection knowledge.
• Geographical and climatic knowledge relevant to vegetable seed production.
