About the role
This is a short‑term volunteer assignment (up to 4 weeks) with a Zambian charity that uses football to support over 2,200 children. The organisation needs an experienced accountant to strengthen its financial management and reporting systems.
Key responsibilities
- Review and correct the use of QuickBooks, ensuring accurate entries.
- Conduct current and historic bank reconciliations and bring them up to date.
- Lead the consolidation of accounts across three entities to provide a unified financial view.
- Develop templates and tools for ongoing financial management.
- Coach project officers on record‑keeping, budgeting, and grant reporting.
- Assess and improve the grant management system for better reporting accuracy.
Required profile
- Professional accounting background with experience in non‑profit finance.
- Ability to work independently on‑site in Zambia for up to four weeks.
- Strong communication skills for coaching staff.
