Electrician – Plant Maintenance (Lusaka)

About the role

Zambeef Products PLC is seeking two motivated electricians to join its Novatek plant in Lusaka. The role focuses on maintaining and repairing electrical equipment across the food processing and agribusiness facilities, ensuring uninterrupted production.

Key responsibilities

• Receive work orders and breakdown reports, analyse the scope of work and required materials.
• Perform repairs, preventive maintenance and installations on plant machinery and standard electrical equipment.
• Conduct daily inspections of machines, report abnormalities promptly to supervisors.
• Follow planned maintenance schedules to minimise wear, tear and unexpected breakdowns.
• Repair electronic devices using blueprints and manufacturer specifications, employing hand tools and electrical instruments.
• Analyse test data, calibrate, adjust and modify circuits and components, documenting performance impacts.
• Collaborate with colleagues, fostering a safe and productive work environment.

Required profile

• Grade 12 certificate.
• Craft Certificate in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in industrial electrical maintenance.
• Knowledge of PLC systems is an advantage.
