Service Technician – Central Lubrication Systems

About the role

Spectra Oil is seeking a Service Technician to install, maintain and optimise central lubrication systems for mining and heavy‑industrial equipment in Zambia’s Northwest Province. You will work directly with customers on‑site, ensuring equipment performance and safety while supporting the company’s market leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Install new central lubrication systems on mobile and fixed plant equipment.
• Maintain, troubleshoot and repair existing lubrication systems.
• Ensure operational readiness of systems at customer sites.
• Collect and analyse performance data from lubrication systems.
• Engage daily with end‑users, attend planning and site meetings, and resolve lubrication‑related issues promptly.
• Commit to continuous professional development.

Required profile

• Technical certification or diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Auto‑lubrication, Electrical Systems or a related field.
• 3–5 years experience maintaining lubrication systems in mining or heavy‑industrial environments.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting automatic and manual lubrication systems and interpreting technical manuals.
• Knowledge of mining equipment, safety standards and regulatory compliance.
• Ability to drive in open‑pit mines and programme PLC equipment.
• Team‑player with strong attention to detail and a safety‑first mindset.
