About the role
We are looking for a Front Office Receptionist to join our hotel’s front desk team. Reporting to the Front Office Manager and Assistant Front Office Manager, you will be the first point of contact for guests, ensuring smooth check‑in, check‑out and overall guest experience.
Key responsibilities
- Greet guests promptly with a friendly attitude and handle all front‑desk interactions, including registrations, enquiries and messages.
- Enter guest folios and related data accurately into the hotel computer system.
- Manage telephone calls, room reservations and VIP or special‑request room assignments.
- Maintain daily log books, prepare registration cards for arrivals and keep guest history files up to date.
- Process foreign‑exchange transactions, cash reports, and handle individual and group check‑outs following standard procedures.
- Post charges to guest folios, verify travel‑agent vouchers and ensure compliance with the hotel’s credit policy.
- Prepare and balance cash reports, remittance envelopes and oversee overnight reporting.
- Coordinate with team members to maximize occupancy and support hotel activities.
Required profile
- Excellent communication skills with a courteous and professional demeanor.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong numerical aptitude for handling cash, foreign exchange and billing procedures.
- Knowledge of hotel marketing programmes and VIP guest handling is advantageous.
