General Manager – Toll Road Operations

About the role

Egis is seeking a General Manager to lead the Kasomeno–Mwenda Toll Road concession (KMTR) across the Democratic Republic of Congo and Zambia. The GM will be the executive head of the operating company, accountable for performance, profitability, governance and sustainable operation during both pre‑operational and steady‑state phases.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute the strategic and operational roadmap in line with shareholder expectations.
• Oversee all business functions including Operations & Maintenance, Finance, HR, Legal, HSE, Facilities and Commercial activities.
• Ensure safe, efficient and uninterrupted toll‑road operation, monitor KPIs, service quality and asset availability.
• Deliver annual budget, EBITDA and cash‑flow targets while optimizing costs.
• Approve investment plans, manage capital expenditures and maximize toll revenues.
• Maintain full compliance with concession agreements, statutory requirements and corporate governance.
• Act as legal representative and primary interface with shareholders, lenders, government authorities, regulators, local communities and strategic partners.

Required profile

• Proven senior leadership experience in large‑scale infrastructure or transport concessions.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multidisciplinary teams across multiple jurisdictions.
• Strong stakeholder management skills with governments, regulators and investors.
• Track record of delivering financial performance and operational excellence.
