Head of IT – Internal Technology & Systems

About the role

The Head of Internal Technology & Systems provides strategic leadership and organisational accountability for Healthy Learners’ internal technology environment. This role defines and executes the internal technology strategy, ensuring systems, infrastructure, security and IT services enable effective operations, scale and geographic expansion. The leader works closely with the Digital Health team and the Data Protection Officer to align program‑facing and internal systems.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and operationalise a multi‑year internal technology strategy and roadmap aligned with organisational priorities and expansion plans.
• Advise senior leadership on technology priorities, investments, emerging risks and strategic trade‑offs.
• Own the enterprise technology ecosystem, overseeing selection, implementation and optimisation of core platforms such as ERP/finance, HR, CRM/donor management and collaboration tools.
• Provide strategic oversight of IT operations and infrastructure, establishing service standards, performance expectations and continuous improvement processes.
• Lead internal cybersecurity, technology risk assessments and business continuity planning, ensuring robust controls, incident response and disaster recovery.
• Establish technology governance frameworks, policies and compliance measures, partnering with the Data Protection Officer to embed data protection requirements.
