Head of LPG Distribution – Operations & Commercial Lead

About the role

Cleanergy is seeking a Head of LPG Distribution to lead both the commercial and operational sides of its LPG business in Zambia. This senior position will translate strategic goals into tangible results, driving sales growth while ensuring a reliable supply chain.

Key responsibilities

• Own the commercial and operational performance of the LPG distribution business, including volume growth and dealer network results.
• Build and manage a network of dealers and commercial customers to generate consistent demand and repeat purchases.
• Develop and implement pricing structures and margin strategies while maintaining strong relationships across the network.
• Drive LPG sales volumes to meet agreed targets, focusing on high‑volume commercial and reseller segments.
• Oversee inventory planning, stock management, and working‑capital discipline.
• Align LPG purchasing with sales and cash inflows to support sustainable growth.
• Ensure cylinder availability across the network by identifying constraints and supporting effective circulation.
• Manage logistics and distribution to guarantee efficient product movement, reliable delivery, and cost‑effective operations.
• Monitor performance against agreements, report on commercial and operational results, and ensure targets are met.

Required profile

• Proven leader capable of translating strategy into execution.
• Hands‑on experience operating across both commercial and operational environments.
• Demonstrated ability to build and scale a distribution business from the ground up.
• Strong focus on delivering financial performance and measurable impact.
