Head of Pension Services

About the role

ZSIC Life Plc is seeking a dynamic Head of Pension Services to lead its multi‑employer pensions portfolio. The role provides strategic oversight for fund administration, business growth, client service, and regulatory compliance across Zambia.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategies to expand the Group Pensions business and increase revenue.
• Oversee pension fund administration, ensuring timely, accurate, and cost‑efficient processes.
• Lead board minute‑taking, secure storage, and retrieval for trustee meetings.
• Maintain high client retention through proactive relationship management and service delivery.
• Ensure full compliance with the Insurance Act, pensions laws, and anti‑money‑laundering requirements.
• Implement risk controls to prevent regulatory breaches and financial mismanagement.
• Drive product innovation and introduce new pension solutions aligned with market needs.
• Manage the pension team, providing coaching, mentorship, and performance management.
• Engage with trustees, regulators, and institutional clients to strengthen stakeholder relationships.

Required profile

• Full Grade 12 Certificate and a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Insurance or Pension Management.
• Demonstrated leadership experience in pension or insurance environments.
• Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and high integrity.
• Ability to work collaboratively and maintain confidentiality.
