Operations and Finance Manager – Zambia

About the role

The Operations and Finance Manager will lead and oversee day‑to‑day programme operations in Zambia for the Tackling Deadly Diseases in Africa Programme Phase 2 (TDDAP2). Working closely with the AMR Technical Coordinator and the wider programme team, the manager will ensure smooth financial management, compliance, and logistical support for the antimicrobial resistance (AMR) component.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the primary contact for all operational and financial matters in Zambia.
• Liaise with programme teams across DRC, Ghana, Kenya, Malawi, Uganda and head‑office staff to ensure coordinated delivery.
• Ensure strict adherence to Palladium and FCDO policies, procedures, and reporting requirements.
• Oversee budgeting, financial reporting, procurement, and cash‑flow management for the country office.
• Coordinate logistics for field activities, travel, and procurement of goods and services.
• Provide guidance and support to the AMR Technical Coordinator and other staff on operational and financial processes.

Required profile

• Legal right to live and work in Zambia (no visa sponsorship).
• Proven experience managing operations and finance for donor‑funded programmes, preferably in health or public‑sector contexts.
• Strong understanding of FCDO or similar donor compliance frameworks.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills across multi‑country teams.
