Finance Manager – Lusaka

About the role

The Finance Manager will oversee the financial health and performance of Deloitte’s Lusaka operations, ensuring accurate reporting, compliance and strategic financial support.

Key responsibilities

• Lead month‑end and year‑end close processes, including journal entries, accruals and balance‑sheet reconciliations.
• Prepare statutory financial statements and support regional and corporate reporting requirements.
• Manage tax compliance, statutory filings and coordinate internal and external audits.
• Oversee fixed‑asset accounting, depreciation, disposals and maintain the asset register.
• Maintain relationships with banks, tax authorities and regulators, providing required financial information.
• Partner with East Africa finance teams to deliver accounts payable, receivable and treasury activities in line with regional controls.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field and a professional qualification (CPA, ACCA or CIMA).
• Minimum 7 years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 3 years in a managerial finance role.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• High ethical standards and professional integrity.

Required skills

• Deep knowledge of IFRS accounting standards.
• Proficiency with ERP systems such as SAP or SAGE.
• Leadership and team‑management capabilities.
• Ability to analyse and interpret complex financial data.
