Loan Officer – Salaried Loans

About the role

Our client is looking for an experienced Loan Officer to lead the salaried‑loans business, focusing on civil‑servant customers. The role involves driving portfolio growth, ensuring high‑quality service, and maintaining strong relationships with government agencies.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute marketing strategies to promote salaried loans to civil servants, including partnership building with the UPAWUZ union and relevant government bodies.
• Manage loan disbursement processes, ensuring compliance with company policies and timely delivery of funds.
• Reconcile monthly loan repayments, resolve discrepancies, and pursue overdue amounts.
• Implement initiatives to improve repayment rates and reduce arrears.
• Monitor loan performance, identify risks, and take corrective actions as needed.
• Prepare regular reports on portfolio performance, disbursements, and collections, and maintain accurate loan documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role within a financial institution.
• Proven success in marketing and selling financial products to civil servants.
• Strong understanding of lending policies, risk management, and regulatory compliance.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, analytical, and problem‑solving abilities.
