Programme Manager – Child Sensitive Social Protection & Child Protection

About the role

The Programme Manager will lead the Child Sensitive Social Protection (CSSP) and Child Protection project, ensuring that social protection programmes are child‑sensitive, transparent and linked to essential services across selected districts in Zambia.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and oversee CSSP strategies in Lufwanyama, Chongwe and Rufunsa districts.
• Plan, monitor, and report on all project activities, ensuring timely delivery of results.
• Conduct periodic reviews with partners and adjust actions as needed.
• Provide technical assistance to District Welfare Committees, Community Welfare Assistance Committees, Community Health Volunteers, local government and civil‑society organisations.
• Link project outcomes to district‑ and national‑level advocacy and provide technical leadership on CSSP.
• Supervise a Facilitator, Project Officer, Child Protection Coordinator and MEAL Officer.

Required profile

• Proven experience in programme management within social protection or child protection sectors.
• Strong knowledge of Zambian government structures and social protection frameworks.
• Ability to work collaboratively with government, NGOs and community groups.
• Experience supervising staff and managing multi‑district projects.
• Commitment to safeguarding and diversity, equity and inclusion principles.
